Went to a book signing two hours ago, Ree Drummond's latest cookbook.  She was so nice and genuine, it was a lot of fun.  I am thinking this might jump start my old blog and who knows, I might keep it up.

Pretty in Pink (Take 5 Pattern)

This quilt top was made during the summer, finished completely in less than a week thanks to Mary Alvarez my newest long arm machine quilter.  Got a Facebook message reminding me that if i wanted to send this quilt to Cuba with my aunt Magaly, i needed to get it to her right away.  Last Saturday i received her message, banged out the two borders and pieced the back.  Met her at Joanne's to pick out a very light weight batting (for weight purposes, for the luggage).  She did her thing, which turned out beautiful!!!  I started binding yesterday and this morning finished and added a label.  She is ready for a new and far away home.
I won the kit and pattern at our Nite Owls Quilt Guild for $5.00.  This quilt cost less than $100.00, a bargain, i say!

Wednesday Lunch & Movie

My husband (Sebastian) and I went to Eureka Burgers in Claremont for lunch and watched "Saving Mr. Banks".  It was very good, i recommend it to ALL to see and enjoy.  Now i have to watch Mary Popins!http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2140373/

My aunt Magaly is here from Cuba visiting for 3 months.
The end is near and one of the things that
needs to return with her is an electric guitar.  It is for her grandson Carlos, i bought it for him and now it's her job to get it back to Cuba in his hands nice and safe.  Here she is!!

12 x 12 Bug Display

I have decided to finish off the 12 x 12 without a border.  I sewed fabric right sides together and turned it inside out, ironed it well and top stitched.  Carolyn my friend gave me this stand that she won at a guild raffle, she will want it back as soon as she sees this display of my "Bug".
Happy Monday....
I will gather with my quilting sisters at what i call Monday Night.  It is a friendship group, i have belonged for a few years now.  It has been in existence for 20 plus.  Wonderful group of women.
